"Reuben Miller was born about 1765. His military record is certified in the Daughters of the American Revolution Patriot Index. He was one of the pioneers of Jackson Township [Madison County]. Several members of this family appear on early transfer records of this township, including Reuben Miller, Jr., and wife, Jane. They are buried in the old section of the Perkinsville Cemetery.
"The old soldier died in 1836 about seventy years of age. He is buried in the Robinette Cemetery on the south of road 200N and east of road 500W. This beautiful old cemetery overlooks White River from a bluff on the north bank. His grave is in the southwest corner of the cemetery and the upper part of the headstone is broken away."
