Directions to and inside this cemtery:

Fairview Cemetery has Eighth St on one side, but the entrance is on Culbertson Avenue. Inside the cemetery the streets are named makinging it easier to locate the grave sites.

Richard Lord Jones take Sixth Street , turn right on Laurel Avenue, turn left on Circle Avenue:

Circle Avenue will "T" out on Main Avenue. At this point you are right by THREE Revolutionary War Soldiers

RICHARD LORD JONES

Born: May 15, 1767, Colchester, Connecticut

Service - A Fifer in Co under Capt Watson in Colonel S B Webbs Conn. Line for a term of 3 years, from June 20, 1777 to June 20, 1780.

Proof: {ension claim W 765 B L Wt 5469-160-55

Died: Nov 5, 1852. Buried Fairview Cemetery, New Albany, Indiana (raised Flat top stone & Bronze marker along side )

Married 1806, Elizabeth Clark (1776-1871) Ch Pensioner states he had four daughters and one son. Only name given is Sarah, married ? O'Conner.
