ZALMON BURRITT

BORN:- March 20, 1750, Newton Fairfield County, Connecticut.

SERVICE: - Enlisted July 1777 and served 1 month as a private in Captain Elijah BOTCHGORD'S Company., Colonel BARSLEY'S Continental Regiment and again enlisted in July 1779, served two onths. Enlisted June 1780, in Colonel SHERMAN'S Conn Regt., Marched to West Point, there placed in Captain MUNSON'S Company, Colonel G SWIFT'S Conn Regt. served until Christamas, 1780. He afterwards joined the quartermaster department and served as wagoner; was then attached to the hospital at Fishkill, New York and discharged April 1781.

GRAVE: - Probably buried in the "Old Jeffersonville Cemetery" now abandoned in Jeffersonville, Indiana
